I mentioned to him that he should use a lead-free paint as birds chew on the cage and the lead is ingested, bird gets sick. He tended to disagree with that. I want to know your opinion. Lead or unleaded.
if you are in oz i'd go with WATTEL KILL RUST, it comes in various colours and comes in spray cans or brushable. I have never had any problems with the birds when using it. leave it to dry for several days then put the birds back in the cage and sit down with a beer or 2 and gloat on a good job

ok. so here is my deal. im 15 years old and my girlfriend is 14. last summer, we went to the beach together and i managed to get a really adorable picture of her sitting on a rock wall along the beach in a cute little bikini. her sweet blonde hair looked gold against the sun and her eyes were blue and shiny. it was the most perfect picture ever!
several months later, i was taking some pictures of some old things my grandma was selling at a garage sale and my eye happened to catch this beautiful little brass birdcage. it was a decorative birdcage-round with little gold leaves and vines circling around it. it was really pretty. it even had a swinging perch inside…you know? like a bird would sit on? so i took a picture of that too.
anyway, for some reason, i decided to go to photoshop and splice the 2 pictures together. i then erased both backgrounds from each picture, and i made a copy of the birdcage and erased the back bars of the cage via tricks in photoshop. i then, took the picture of my girlfriend and put her behind the cage and seated her on the swing. next, i put the back bars back in so it looked like they surrounded her. i adjusted the size of her and the swing to make it look like she was seated on it. after all was said and done, it looked like she was INSIDE the birdcage and it was such a darling picture. i then added a background of a beautiful garden behind her and made the cute little golden cage look like it was hanging in a gazebo. when the whole picture was done, it looked so perfect!
my question now is: should i show her the picture or do you think it will embarass her? i think it's just an innocent picture and it's really cute! but im worried because she is in a birdcage in the picture, AND wearing a bikini, that may bother her. but here's the thing: i love her and wouldn't really do that to her for real! besides, i only made the picture because she's so cute, she reminds me of a hummingbird. my mom even saw the picture as well and she said she thought it was really cute and that my girlfriend looked sweet and adorable sitting inside a pretty little birdcage. what do you all think of this photo i came up with? is it creative? should i show it to her? any suggestions?
Well upload the picture to photobucket or something then put it in your question so i can see it

I'm looking for a hanging bird cage, that i can keep two parakeets in. All the hanging ones i'm seeming to find are just for decoration. :/ Any help?
I want a round type one though, and i can't find those anywhere either. Thanks for the tips tho!
If you want a hanging yet practical cage, just buy a regular "lightweight" cage at petco or petsmart. You loop metal twine through the top of the cage so you can hang it that way. Hope this helps. Just make sure you use enough twine so the cage won't fall down.
